'Reading the scrolling score'

The score can be best read by supporting the ball firmly by the fingers as opposed to having it jammed into the palm as with the other Powerball models. There is no real trick to doing this, more it's a skill that is gradually acquired through practice.

An additional inner ring has been added to the Techno to allow it operate in a more loosely supported fashion than the other (250Hz & Neon) models - it therefore is not as critical to maintain [as] firm a grip on this unit during the score reading procedure as is otherwise necessary during regular operation.
